Nicola is a technology-driven infrastructure executive with 13+ years of global experience integrating AI, Digital Twins, and Blockchain into civil, aviation, and marine projects. At WGI, he leads innovation for Florida’s infrastructure, developing FDOT-aligned digital twin standards and deploying predictive analytics, IoT, and immersive technologies to enhance project delivery and sustainability.
Previously, Nicola served as COO at BEC Grid Corp, where he transformed port logistics through smart systems, doubling throughput and cutting operational costs by over 50%. His BIM leadership at ASTALDI (now Webuild) shaped iconic projects like Mexico City’s NAIM airport and the Muskrat Falls Hydroelectric Project.
A Distinguished Member of the American Society For Artificial Intelligence, Member of Mensa and the International Society of Philosophical Enquiry, Nicola is a published thought leader on empathetic AI, BIM strategy, and digital twin ROI. He holds dual master’s degrees in engineering and architecture and is pursuing PE and PMP certifications.”
