Hiro Rodriguez

Hiro Rodriguez is the Executive Director of the Advocacy Center at the U.S. Department of Commerce. In this role, he leads a government-wide initiative to assist American companies in competing for foreign government contracts, focusing on commercial diplomacy and strategic exports.

His career is marked by a blend of high-level private sector leadership and public service. In the tech industry, Rodriguez was instrumental in scaling major Silicon Valley companies. As Chief of Staff to the CEO of DocuSign, he helped guide the company from a startup to a $40 billion public entity. He also held leadership roles at Salesforce and served as Chief Revenue Officer at Prefect Technologies.

Before joining the Department of Commerce, Rodriguez served as Chief Business Officer at the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue University. His prior government experience includes serving as Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment, where he managed critical supply chain logistics during the pandemic.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of San Diego and currently resides in the Washington, D.C. area with his family.
