General Session Lunch
About the Session
The General Session Lunch brings the Convention community together for a dynamic midday gathering that blends insight, perspective, and connection.
Attendees will then hear remarks from the Federal Highway Administration Administrator, whose leadership sits at the center of federal transportation policy, infrastructure investment, and program delivery nationwide. As the agency responsible for shaping and implementing many of the policies and funding mechanisms that directly impact engineering firms, this perspective is both timely and essential. Following these remarks he will take part in a panel discussion with industry CEOs, including Jessica Baker Daily of Halff, John Henderson of HDR, and Mike Orth of GFT.
Jonathan Martin of Politico leads a timely conversation with former U.S. Representatives Bill Shuster and Peter DeFazio, two of the most influential figures in modern transportation policy. As former Chairmen of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on opposite sides of the aisle, they helped shape the legislation and funding priorities that continue to impact the engineering industry today. Together, they offer a rare bipartisan perspective on how decisions are made in Washington and where infrastructure investment is headed next.
The session will also feature a critical legislative briefing from ACEC’s advocacy team, providing a clear and concise update on the federal issues, policy developments, and priorities that will influence the business environment in the months ahead.
Designed to inform, re-energize, and refocus the audience, this session ensures the Convention’s momentum continues well into the afternoon.
Open to all Full and Monday Daily attendees.
